Sinfonietta is a continuation of beginning group classes and/or private lessons. Rehearsals are focused on performance and the development of ensemble skills with a significant emphasis on the development of individual techniques relating to each instrument (violin, viola, cello, bass). In addition to full ensemble coaching, the orchestra will work in smaller groups for sectional time with expert faculty several times over the course of the year. Two concerts are presented each year.

Level: Suzuki Book 1-2 or equivalent, experience with 1 octave scales, beginning fluency in note reading and rhythm. There should be familiarity of 1 or 2 scales as well as basic note reading and rhythm comprehension. All interested students new to the program must sign up for a placement interview.
