About the Artists

Marilyn Moore, soprano

Marilyn Moore serves on the voice faculty at Levine Music. A critically acclaimed soprano, she is a versatile interpreter of opera, oratorio and concert repertory. Operatic engagements include New York City Opera, Michigan Opera Theater, The Theater Municipal in Rio de Janiero and The Philadelphia Opera Company. Equally committed to oratorio, chamber music and song recital literature, she has appeared at Carnegie Hall, the Chartres Cathedral, and the Beijing Music Festival, as well as appearances as soloist with Charlotte Symphony, the Philly Pops Orchestra, the American Repertory Ballet Company and the Cathedral Choral Society of Washington, DC. Ms. Moore also serves on the Music Theater Department faculty at The Catholic University of America  

Dasha Gabay, piano

Dasha Gabay has served on the Levine faculty since 1999. She received her B.A. from M. Mussorgsky Music College in St. Petersburg, Russia. She then went on to study directing at St. Petersburg Cultural Institute. Her education continued at the St. Petersburg Conservatory where Ms. Gabay received her M.M. in piano performance, chamber music, pedagogy and accompaniment (collaborative arts). She has performed in some of the great halls of Russia, including the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Chamber Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, and St. Petersburg Capella. As an accompanist, she was awarded the “Best Accompaniment Diploma” three times (1995, 1997, and 1998).

Ms. Gabay immigrated to the U.S. in December 1998, where she has performed in notable halls including the Kennedy Center’s Concert Hall and Terrace Theater, as well as The Lyceum and the Harris Theater of George Mason University.
