Paul Bratcherco-chair of the piano faculty at Levine Music and Director of Jazz Studies at Georgetown University. Paul Carr – founded the Jazz Academy of Music in 2002, Paul is also the Director of the Gettysburg College Jazz Ensemble. Paul is Executive and Artistic Director the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival. Reginald Cyntje – Director of Jazz Studies at DC’s own Duke Ellington School of the Arts, and a native of the US Virgin Islands. Shannon Gunn – Co-founded the Jazz and Freedom Festival in 2015, raising funds and support for nonprofitssuch as Empower DC, Black Lives Matter DMV, WPFW-FM, the Capitol Hill Jazz Foundation, and ICE Out Of DC. In 2019, she started Jazz Girls Day DC, in collaboration with the Washington Women in Jazz Festival, to empower young women to pursue jazz without boundaries from gender.

Amy Bormet – is an in-demand pianist, vocalist, and composer. As an advocate for women in music, Amy created the Washington Women in Jazz Festival in 2011 and continues to serve as executive director. Jessica Boykin-Settles – a widely respected vocalist and a professor at Howard University who has mentored a handful of the city’s fine young singers. Karine Chapdelaine – Bassist Karine Chapdelaine has led an active performance career that includes international performances in Europe, South America, Mexico, Africa, and Asia Alison Crockett – Has been in the worldwide the music scene as a vocalist and educator for decades has created a program/performance that seeks to educate and include singers of all ages and generations in the joy of singing Vocal Jazz. Shannon Gunn – Trombonist and Co-founded the Jazz and Freedom Festival in 2015, raising funds and support for non-profits such as Empower DC, Black Lives Matter DMV, WPFW-FM, the Capitol Hill Jazz Foundation, and ICE Out Of DC.
