The Suzuki Department at Levine Music will host Zachary Sweet to teach the SAA training course, Revisiting Unit 1 (Cello). The class is an SAA certification and 100% attendance is required to register Revisiting Unit 1 (Cello) with the SAA (Suzuki Association of the Americas).
The Revisiting Unit 1 course is designed for teachers who have registered a minimum of Unit 1 and have at least one year of Suzuki teaching experience. It aims to strengthen and update a participant’s teaching by approaching the repertoire and its concepts from a fresh perspective. Discussions cover the foundation of Book One, including application of the Suzuki philosophy, teaching points, layering of skills, addressing challenges of the beginning student, and more.
The format of the course includes lecture, small group discussion, student observation, personal experience, and playing demonstration of the teaching points and concepts. This course is a valuable resource as you develop your teaching and expand your studio consistency.
