Group Classes
Discover and explore music in an engaging collaborative setting.
Engage with a community of like-minded musicians to explore, rehearse, create, and perform chamber music. The joy and art of making music together is at the very heart of the Levine experience and is essential to the development of a well-rounded musician. Levine’s highly regarded chamber music faculty work with students of all ages and abilities to help them explore this treasured body of musical literature.
The study and performance of chamber masterpieces are offered to musicians of all levels and ages through Chamber Music programs at Levine. These classes enrich students’ understanding of music performance art and teach them to interact with each other when playing music. Not only does chamber music improve our ability to interpret musical notation and musical rhythm, but it also gives us information about the processes we use to build musical forms. Chamber music studies enhance our musicianship through the study of the historical background of composers and musical works.
Misbin Family Memorial Chamber Music Competition
Levine Music and Washington Performing Arts jointly present the 11th annual Misbin Family Memorial Chamber Music Competition. The competition is open to instrumental chamber music students as well as adult amateur ensembles and will be judged by a panel of members of the Greater Washington music community chosen by Washington Performing Arts and Levine.
Chamber Music Sunday
Chamber Music Sunday is a joyful day of playing and listening to chamber music. Your group will work with three different coaches from our award-winning faculty, meet other musicians, and end the day with a festive faculty and student concert.
Chamber Music Sunday 2026 information is coming soon.
